Ally: We might have an exclusive here on the blog. If not, it’s still exciting news.
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, brought along a Michique bag yesterday while on tour for the Queen’s Jubilee. For the two Cape Breton designers behind the line, this is an incredible moment.
Word has it the Michique Original Couture bag was purchased by “a lady from England” last year, and the twin sisters behind the Michique line were doing tons of surprised jumpy claps when they saw it appear on the Royal Tour. Seriously though? Having royalty appear with one of your items is like the Superbowl for designers.
Similar to Kate Middleton (I’ve had two hours sleep, I can’t bring myself to Google her title) when she made her first Canadian visit, the Duchess has also decided to promote our talented Canadian fashion designers, this time bringing the classic clutch to a ceremony with the Prime Minister in Fort York Toronto. Congrats to our homegrown Michique designers! Well deserved!
I can only hope that Monique and Michelle enjoying some Mimosas this morning.
