Ally: Filed at the top of “Things that make Ally Sad – 2013 Version” would be the following:
- I forgot how seriously shitty your sleep is when you have a newborn
- I haven’t brushed my hair since I had the newborn (this is the truth, I’ve washed it…conditioned it even…no brushing)
- I’m not only wearing leggings-as-pants, leggings are like, my only pants these days
- People outside Canada now know us for the merger of Avril Lavigne and Chad Kruger. What’s that? I spelled his name wrong?
That’s right. There are no fucks to give.
Seriously, this is famous outside of Canada:
Meanwhile, people aren’t caring enough about the one Canadian celebrity we have who, on a good day, has the ability to out-dress Sienna Miller (that’s a compliment). Ladies, and the two gentleman that read this blog, I give you Fefe Dobson and reasons why she kicks Canadian ass.
Cause she can pull off pleather
Pleather isn’t easy to pull off, friends. I know because I’ve tried and my journey was not a success. If those are actual leather pants than I apologize to Ms. Dobson and urgently request she provide details on how she put those on. Bonus points if that is a pleather vest.
…And sequined leggings with plaid!
Fefe shops off-the-rack the day of an event
Great find, Feefs!
I know, I hear you. You’re saying, “So what, she can pick out a dress”. Slow your roll, people. Remember that Fefe didn’t employ a stylist here and succeeded. Avril likely has a professional stylist and heads to events like this:
Fefe has learned that less is more
Being a rock star is super hard. At least this is how it feels to me when I play one in the privacy of my own home. The expectations are endless. People always expect you to be on-point with the “out there” fashion. Fefe knows better. Fefe knows better because Fefe bombed hard a couple of years ago on the MMVA’s red carpet.
“Never again,” said Fefe Dobson to her manager. Never. Again. And the evolution of Fefe’s style began, leading her to select edgy, but sharp looks like the one she wore to the Producer’s Ball in 2012 (or 2011, this blog is non-profit, I’m not paid to be a fact-checker).
Editors Note: Yes, we have ads that give us some cash money from time-to-time, but that money is put away for a “one day we will have a party for our readers” fund. Our revenue isn’t really off the charts just yet, so the bash is planned for like, 2015. We’re not quitting our day jobs just yet.
Other editors note: how Canadian is it that there are photos out there of her with a real estate agent/star of a show on the W Network?
Now that Fefe has moved to Nashville, her style seems to be becoming more country (approve!).
